The Estate Geschwister Simon is managed by Gerog Steffes, cellarmaster and vintner and his wife Heidi, nee Simon. The Steffes and Simon families have been involved in winemaking and viticulture since 1721.

The 8.5 hectares of hillside vineyards are situated in the Saar and Ruwer district  and are cultivated in an eco friendly manner where manure is used to fertilise the vines.  Yields are kept low in order to produce wines with more depth and character.

Grapes:           Riesling

Position:         Hillside south/southwest facing vineyards

Soil:               Slate rich in minerals

Vinification:    Gentle fermentation is temperature controlled vats. The wine was bottled young in order to preserve the fruit and freshness of the wine.

Taste:            Delicate yet full of depth, this stylish Riesling has a bouquet reminiscent of apricots and an appealing balanced sweetness on the finish.
